I have spent nearly all of my adult life working as a journalist, in New York, New Orleans, and since 1997, in San Francisco. Discovering a new creative outlet in visual arts
was an unexpected surprise that began casually about 15 years ago, and has turned into an avid avocation. Working alternately with words and images provide a happy balance in right brain-left brain dynamics. I often base my work in photography, but that’s usually a jumping off point for creative digressions that come from love of retro and fantastic worlds -- sometimes arriving at destinations in between. I sometimes say I want the viewer to be “happily confused” by what they see. I print the majority of my work at home on a wide-format printer using archival ink. I print on the some of the finest papers commercially available, including Hahnemuhle, Canson and Ilford papers. My prints are offered in signed limited editions, and I am happy to talk with any potential collector about specific orders and works sized to personal needs.
