I draw lots of circles. The circles en masse form shapes and texture at the individual and macro levels. No other shapes are used, but as a collection the tiny circles start to mimic observable phenomena in real life. The circles start to reflect the organization of cells, communities, or stars, or ecosystems. They are zoomed in pictures of clouds, skin, bacteria. They are studies in contrast and balance at several scales at once. Each circle exists as an individual subject and as a texture, and forms a macro subject.

These pieces are a meditation on matter and collection, texture and time. Diversity and homogeneity. Scale and simplicity.
