Desiree Ferguson

Artist Bio

My name is Desiree Ferguson.  I'm a third-generation San Franciscan.  I discovered my love of jewelry making in 2017, following a surprising corporate lay-off.   I specialize in creating handcrafted sterling silver, fine silver, copper and gold jewelry, featuring high-grade, semi-precious stones and beads. I also use chakra principles to create jewelry infused with beauty, positive energy and protection for the wearer.

I learned to metalsmith at the Multnomah Arts Center in Portland, OR, under the guidance of world-renowned instructors.

Favorite pieces to make: Handmade chains with jewel-toned cabochons or beads.

Favorite gemstones: rainbow moonstone, sleeping beauty turquoise, citrine, aquamarine, ethiopian welo opals, and ametrine

Favorite activities: watching true crime, going to art fairs, trying new restaurants and smooching cute dogs and cats.
