Artist Bio

I’m based in Fremont/Newark, CA. The subject matter of my paintings ranges from landscapes to the figure to the urban setting. It’s not the subject matter that inspires my paintings, but the color or form of an object that will draw me to want to figure out how to express it within the parameters of the four sides of a canvas.  I tend to work intuitively and never really know how the painting is going to look until the end. I am constantly responding to the painting as it develops so, in a way, all my paintings are never finished. I’m always hoping that my work is creating a conversation between the painter, the painting and the viewer.
